Abstract: Using the theory of planned behavior and information –motivation-behavior skill model, this paper explored the cognitive psychological mechanism of HIV Sexual risk behavior and compared the cross-cultural validity of two models. The result indicates that: ⑴both model have good data fitness, especially explained women’s sexual risk behavior perfectly. However the first model can explains a larger proportion of variance. ⑵subjective norm and HIV preventive knowledge are key decision-making factors of HIV sexual risk behavior; whose influencing mechanisms are consistent between men and women; ⑶there are weak explaining power for preventive skill, preventive attitudes and perceived risk, whose influencing mechanisms are significantly different between men and women.
