The Review of Typical Halogenated Flame Retardants, HFRs Pollution in Indoor Air and Dust
Abstract: Halogenated Flame Retardants (HFRs) used to reduce the polymer flammability are a kind of widespread typical pollutants in the indoor environment medium. They have a severe negative impact on human health. Polybrominated Biphenyl Ethers (PBDEs), Polychorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) and Dechlorane Plus (DP) are three kinds of the important Halogenated Flame Retardants. The present paper reviews the source, sampling, quantification, the pollution characteristics, pollution levels and human exposure of these HFRs in indoor environment.
