应用语言学论文引言中的介入资源探究

摘要: 本文以Swales的CARS模式和J. R. Martin评价理论中的介入系统为理论框架,试图探究应用语言学学术论文作者在引言中如何运用收缩性和扩展性介入资源实现创建研究空间的交际目的,并分析上述资源在语步中的分布特征及语言表现形式。研究发现,学术论文作者在创建研究空间的过程中,多选用否定,反对和背书等篇际手段来限制与作者命题观点不一致的诸多声音的存在,收缩对话空间;同时利用接纳和承认等手段允许其他可能命题或立场的介入,保留足够的话语协商空间。
Abstract: Using Swales’ CARS model and Engagement system within Appraisal Theory as points of departure, this paper aims to explore how the communicative purpose can be achieved via contracting and expanding engagement resources in RA introductions of Applied Linguistics, of which the distribution features as well as linguistic realizations are also analyzed. The research findings show that in the process of creating a research space RA authors primarily adopt contractive resources such as deny, counter and endorse to restrict the existence of different opinions and therefore contract the dialogic space. Meanwhile, expansive resources like entertain and acknowledge are employed to make sure that there is enough dialogic space for the other possible positions or viewpoints.
