艺术的发展经历了漫长的时代、观念的变迁，表现出了不同的美学范式，形成了多种多样的种类、形式、风格和流派。历史的、政治的、经济的、文化的等外在和内在因素都对艺术的表现有重大的影响，评判艺术的标准似乎也一直在发生着变化。对艺术的认识本质上是一个关于人的本真存在和自由发展的本体论命题，与人类对世界的认识水平保持着同步。
Arts have experienced a long period of changes of eras and ideas, showing various aesthetic paradigms and forming a variety of genres, forms, styles, and schools. It seems that the notion of art appraisal has long been changing, and the expression of arts has been greatly affected by external and internal factors such as historical, political, economical, and cultural factors. Understanding of arts essentially is an ontological proposition about the authentic existence and free development of human being, and it has been keeping pace with the development process of human understanding of the world.
