庞德英译中国古诗的批判性思考

Critical Thinking on Pound’s Treatment in Translat-ing Chinese Poetry

摘要: 作为极具创造性和艺术性的文学体裁，诗歌的翻译自古以来就是各翻译家争相讨论的焦点。而中国诗歌的历史之悠远，内涵之丰富，令海内外读者倾心不已。艾兹拉•庞德作为翻译中国古典诗歌的代表人物，其翻译作品对传播中国文化做出巨大贡献。但其采用的创造性翻译方法对部分中国文化的误译引起广泛的争论。本文试通过对庞德翻译思想的解析和对相关中国诗歌的译例的分析，详细论述其在翻译中的不妥之处。

Abstract: As a creative and artistic literary genre, poetry translation has been the focus of discussion among translators since ancient times. The long history and rich con-notation of Chinese poetry have attracted great attention of readers at home and abroad. Ezra Pound, as a representative figure in the translation of Chinese classical poetry, has made great con-tributions to the dissemination of Chinese culture. However, his creative translation methods have caused widespread controversy over the mistranslation of some Chinese cultures. This paper tries to analyze Pound’s translation thoughts, offering a detailed analysis of some of his translation of Chinese poems to discuss the shortcomings of Pound’s translation.
