Abstract: Membrane exposure is the most common complication after Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR). If not treated in time, it will affect the process of bone regeneration and even lead to failure. This review grades and classifies GBR-related membrane exposure in oral implant surgery, explores the incidence of membrane exposure of different types and their impacts on implant success rate and bone regeneration, and proposes appropriate prevention and treatment measures, aiming to provide clinicians with diagnosis and treatment ideas as well as prevention and control strategies.
