Research and Thinking on China’s Old-Age Care under the Background of Population Aging

摘要: 进入21世纪，中国面临的人口老龄化问题日益凸显，表现为老年人口基数庞大且增长迅速，成为社会广泛关注的核心问题。尤其随着独生子女政策的实施，现代家庭常常出现两位年轻人需要照顾四位或六位老人的情况，导致巨大的抚养压力。在这种背景下，传统的家庭养老模式使子女承受过重负担，而机构养老同样面临各种挑战。当前，老龄化问题在中国已引起各界广泛关注，它所引发的社会问题日益严峻，如养老保障问题。在这种背景下，建立一个完善的社会养老保障体系对中国的社会稳定和经济发展至关重要，同时也能显著提高老年人的生活质量和安全感。

Abstract: In the 21st century, China is facing an increasingly prominent problem of population aging, which is manifested by a large elderly population base and rapid growth, and has become the core issue of widespread concern in society. Especially with the implementation of the one-child policy, modern families often have two young people to take care of four or six old people, resulting in huge support pressure. Under this background, the traditional family pension model makes the children bear too much burden, and the institutional pension also faces various challenges. At present, the problem of aging in China has aroused wide attention from all walks of life, and it has caused increasingly serious social problems, such as pension security. In this context, the establishment of a comprehensive social pension security system is crucial to China’s social stability and economic development, while also significantly improving the quality of life and sense of security of the elderly.
