雅思写作“双边讨论”话题难点及其试解
Difficulties and Solutions in the Topic of “Bilateral Discussion” in IELTS Writing
摘要: 本文以典型中国高中生雅思写作实例为样本,分析雅思考试写作科目中“双边讨论”议论文的三大核心难点:主体段论据不够充分与基础错误并存(如案例中艺术生学计算机的论证缺陷)、结论段“一边倒”倾向(如完全否定专业专注价值)、批判性思维确实(未能站在中间立场表达观点);而后针对性地提出解决方案:多话题语料积累、大量外刊阅读以夯实英语基础,主体段采用“情况分类法”提出辩证结论,运用“提出观点–反驳观点–寻找中间点”框架培养批判性思维。研究显示,雅思写作成绩提升取决于考试语言是否准确、论据是否充分、观点是否深刻。
Abstract: This study analyzes three main challenges in “discuss both views and give your own opinions” essays in IELTS Writing Task based on representative writing samples from Chinese high school students: first, insufficient supporting evidence coupled with basic linguistic errors (for example, blemished arguments about art students taking computer courses), second, polarized conclusions (for example, completely dismissing the value of specialization), and third, lack of critical thinking (failure to adopt an intermediate position). Corresponding solutions are followed: multi-topic corpus accumulation, extensive exposure to foreign materials to strengthen language foundations, “categorical analysis” for constructing dialectical arguments, and employing the “claim-counterclaim-reflection” framework to cultivate critical thinking. Findings show that IELTS writing score improvement hinges upon linguistic accuracy, argumentative adequacy, and profound opinions.
