多模态话语分析下游戏《黑神话:悟空》字幕翻译研究——以序章和第一回《火照黑云》为例
A Study on Subtitle Translation of the Game “Black Myth: Wukong” from the Perspective of Multimodal Discourse Analysis—A Case Study of the Prologue and Chapter One “Dark Clouds Aflame”
摘要: 游戏《黑神话:悟空》取材于明代吴承恩著作《西游记》,时间线发生于取经成功之后。玩家扮演“天命人”,重走西行路,追寻孙悟空“六根器”,借以引发玩家对东方禅思与个体意识的思考。游戏依托多模态场景,让传播有了新的形态和手段,致使翻译界思考并讨论中国经典文化在数智时代的对外传播新模式。本文基于张德禄教授的多模态理论,对《黑神话:悟空》的序章以及第一回《火照黑云》的字幕翻译展开具体分析,以期探讨如何在跨文化视域下,利用多模态理论,精准、流畅地传达原作的文化内涵、情节内容、语言风格、角色塑造与整体氛围,为游戏等多模态作品的字幕翻译提供启发,探寻数智场景中文化传播的新途径与新方法。
Abstract: “Black Myth: Wukong” is adapted from “Journey to the West”, written by Wu Cheng’en during the Ming Dynasty, with its timeline set after the successful completion of the pilgrimage for Buddhist scriptures. Players assume the role of “The Destined One,” retracing the westward journey to search for Sun Wukong’s “Six Senses,” thereby provoking contemplation on Eastern Zen philosophy and individual consciousness. By leveraging multimodal scenarios, the game introduces novel forms and methods of communication, prompting the translation community to consider and discuss new models for disseminating classic Chinese culture internationally in the digital and intelligent era. Based on Professor Zhang Delu’s multimodal theory, this paper conducts a detailed analysis of the subtitle translation in the Prologue and Chapter One “Dark Clouds Aflame” of “Black Myth: Wukong”, aiming to explore how, from an intercultural perspective, multimodal theory can be employed to accurately and fluently convey the original work’s cultural connotations, plot content, linguistic style, character development, and overall atmosphere. This study seeks to provide insights for subtitle translation in games and other multimodal works, and to explore new approaches and methods for cultural dissemination in digital and intelligent contexts.
