Abstract: Chronic insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) are the two most common diseases in the field of sleep. In recent years, studies have found that the interaction be-tween chronic insomnia and OSAHS can cause more serious sleep structure disorders, anxiety and depression symptoms, cognitive decline and somatization symptoms. In severe cases, it can lead to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and even sudden death. Therefore, it is necessary to screen, diagnose and treat OSAHS in time, but because of the relationship between the two diseases, the choice of treatment options has become a new challenge. This review describes the epidemio-logical characteristics, comorbidity mechanism, clinical features and treatment options of chronic insomnia comorbid OSAHS.
