本篇叙述一位正值壮年期独子，因大肠癌末期住院的护理经验。笔者运用观察、身体评估、会谈等方式进行整体性评估，发现个案有疼痛、身体心像紊乱、哀伤等健康问题。个案在2008年2月4日入院，2月8日转入笔者病房，2月16过世，故笔者护理期间为2月8日至2月16日。个案第一次发现大肠癌至此次住院，曾多次在笔者病房住院，故笔者和个案及家属们已建立良好护病关系。然而在这次护理过程中，从其检查报告及临床表征得知，个案存活时间已不多，医师告知约一至两周，笔者身为安宁共照师，运用Watson之关怀理论，给予减轻疼痛外，更使其保有生命的尊严，协助家属面对死亡，陪伴走过人生最后的旅程。期望透过此篇文章与同仁分享临终照护经验。This article described a nursing experience for a prime singleton in hospitalization due to end-stage colon cancer. The methods of data collection included observation, physical assessment, and face-to-face interview. The case’s health problem included pain, body image disturbance, and sadness. The patient was hospitalized on February 4, changed into the researcher’s ward on February 8, and died on February 16, 2008. The duration of nursing care by the researcher was be-tween February 8 and February 16, 2008. The nurse-patient relationship was well established between the research and the case and his family due to the case hospitalized in researcher’s ward many times since fist time diagnosis of colon cancer. During the nursing process, the doctor announced that the survival time of the case was about one or two weeks from the check reports and clinical symptom. The researcher was a palliative care specialist and used Watson’s caring theory to re-duce case’s pain and keep life dignity, to help his family face to death, and to accompany the case of final life traveling route. This case report was expected to share the nursing experience to clinical nursing staff for the end-of-life care.
