基本情况

刘前，中科院研究生院物理学院教授，南开大学物理学院兼职教授，国家纳米科学中心科技管理部主任，博士生导师，日本北海道大学工学博士。已主持和参与完成科研项目十余个，已发表第一作者和通讯作者的论文80余篇，是日本北海道政府奖学金和日本罗大利米山奖学金获得者，获得过2000年日本电气通信普及财団海外渡航及短期研究资助奖励。现为国际光工程学会（SPIE）、中国物理学会、和中国稀土学会会员，《Jan.J.Apl.Phys.》、《Optics Letters》、《 Applied Optics》、 《Optical Engineering》等杂志的审稿人、澳大利亚科学研究委员会（ARC）国家基金项目的海外评审专家。目前，主持的研究项目和课题有863和973课题，国家自然基金，科学院重点方向性课题，北京自然科学基金等。

研究领域

纳米光学、纳米薄膜器件，超高密度光存储、非常规纳米加工方法，应用光学和稀土金属及合金材料等
