周启星，博士，教授，博士生导师，南开大学。长江学者特聘教授，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者，首批新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选。

现任国务院学科评议组成员；教育部地学资源环境学部委员；中国生态学会污染生态学专业委员会主任；中国自然资源学会资源循环利用专业委员会主任；天津市职业与环境危害生物标志物重点实验室（中国人民武装警察部队医学院）学术委员会主任；《Pedosphere》副主编；《Journal of Soils and Sediments》,《Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology》和《Journal of Environmental Sciences》等SCI刊物编委。
