The Unity of Knowing and Doing—The Core Concept of Wang Yangming’s Mind-Philosophy

摘要: 阳明先生的“知行合一”说是在特定的历史背景之下产生的。他通过对“知行合一”的论证强调了知与行要相互渗透，不能分离开来；道德实践与道德认识要相互关联、相互作用。知行合一的观点不仅对当时人们的道德实践有指导作用, 而且对现代社会人们提高道德修养也有着重要的借鉴意义。 Wang Yangming’s theory, “The unity of knowing and doing”, was proposed in a particular historical background. By arguing his theory, Wang Yangming emphasized that knowledge and practice should be integrated instead of being separated. The practice of morality is well connected and cooperated with the cognition of morality. His theory is of great importance in directing people’s moral practice not only in Ming dynasty but also in modern society.
