Topophilia—A Review of Place: A Short Introduction

摘要: “地方”这一概念，经由人文主义地理学大师段义孚(Yi-Fu Tuan）的阐发后，逐渐得到地理学界，尤其是人文地理学界的重视和发展，如今已成为人文地理学的核心概念之一。然而，目前国内却很难找到一本系统介绍这一重要概念的书籍，蒂姆•克雷斯韦尔(Tim Cresswell)的著作“Place: a short introduction”(中译本名为《地方：记忆、想像与认同》)正好填补了这一空白。此书系统、生动地呈现了国外著名人文地理学家对“地方”的不同理解和运用。遗憾的是，截至目前鲜见对该书的推介和书评发表。鉴于此，本文将专门介绍这一以“地方”为主题的专著，并予以评述。

Abstract: The concept of place has attracted more attentions and developed in geography field, especially in human geography field with exposition by Yi-Fu Tuan, a humanistic geographer around the world. Now it has become one of the core concepts of human geography. However, it is difficult to find a book to introduce this important concept, while the book Place: A Short Introduction written by Tim Cresswell fills in the gaps. This book presents vividly foreign famous human geographers’ different understanding and application of place. But so far, few recommendation and commentary of the book are published. In view of this, this paper introduces the book with theme of place and reviews on academic significances.
