Abstract: To explore the effects of drawing in group counseling on self-consciousness and self-esteem, 78 subjects were recruited and attended group counseling, through open recruitment. Using Self- Consciousness Scale, Self-Esteem Scale and Two-Dimensional Self-Esteem Scale to examine the effects of group counseling, the subjects were tested for 3 times (pretest, posttest, and a test after 3 months). 52 subjects’ data were effective and used for analysis of variance. Results show that posttest scores of private self-consciousness, public self-consciousness, self-esteem, self-liking and self-competence are significantly higher than that of pretest scores; tracking test scores of social anxiety are significantly lower than pretest score. Therefore, subjects’ self-consciousness and self-esteem can be effectively improved via drawing in group counseling, and the effects are positive to mental health.
