基于《中国英语能力等级量表》的新建本科院校大学英语课程设计探讨

摘要: 本文在问卷调查和前期研究的基础上,根据泰勒和艾伦•奥恩斯坦的课程建设理论以及一线教学经验和思考,尝试从教材、网上辅课、选修课、课堂活动和第二课堂活动对新建本科院校大学英语课程的设计和实施提出建议。调查数据显示,新建本科院校学生入学时的英语总体水平大多处于《中国英语能力等级量表》初级阶段。根据这一实际,大学英语课程应构建以语言认知目标为基础的立体课程体系,依托网络教学平台,通过线上和线下相结合的方式,以教材 + 网上辅修课、课堂活动 + 选修课 + 第二课堂活动的立体课程体系,不断激发学生的学习兴趣、提升语言应用能力、思辨能力、跨文化交际能力、自主学习能力以及社会适应能力。
Abstract: This paper tries to make suggestions on the design and implementation of college English for newly-established colleges based on data from questionnaire and preliminary research and ac-cording to the curriculum construction theory of Taylor and Alan Ornstein, from the aspects of textbooks, online supplementary courses, elective courses, classroom activities and extracurricular activities. According to the survey based on China’s Standards of English Language Ability, the English level of most of the students in newly-established colleges is at the elementary stage of the scale. According to this, language proficiency should be given priority in designing the course. Thus, online teaching and classroom teaching should be combined, and the choice of teaching materials, the design of online supplementary courses, classroom activities and extracurricular activities, and the offer of selective courses should all serve the purpose of enhancing students’ language proficiency, and preferably of helping motivate students’ interest in English learning, improve their abilities to critical thinking, cross-cultural communication, and social adaptation.
