Abstract: Central venous catheter-associated bloodstream infection (CR-BSI) is a common event in intensive care units (ICU). Unlike other hospital infections, most risk factors for CR-BSI are associated with the device and can be effectively prevented. Early detection and preventive intervention of risk factors related to catheter-related bloodstream infection can effectively reduce the incidence of catheter-related bloodstream infection.
