A Multidimensional Study on Huang Jiade’s Translation of My Country and My People

摘要: 《吾国与吾民》黄嘉德中译本是该书首个在国内出版的译本。近几十年来，黄译本一版再版，在国内图书市场中广泛流传，在该书的翻译和国内传播史上占据着重要地位。然而，该译本却尚未得到学界的充分关注。有鉴于此，本文将围绕译本概况与出版情况、译者身份与翻译缘起、时代背景与语言风格、翻译原则与翻译策略等方面对该译本展开多维研究，以期为该译本的进一步研究作出微薄贡献。

Abstract: Huang Jiade’s translation of My Country and My People is the first Chinese version of the book pub-lished in China. In recent decades, it has been widely spread and influenced in the domestic book market, which occupies a prominent position in the history of translation and communication of the book. However, the study of Huang Jiade’s translation is rare. This paper tries to probe into the translation profile, publication statistics, translator’s identity, how it was initiated, historical background, language style, translation principles and translation strategies on which the transla-tion is based. It is hoped that it may contribute to the further study of Huang Jiade’s translation.
