Abstract: Cosmetic contact dermatitis (CCD) is the most important type of cosmetic adverse reactions. It is di-vided into irritant contact dermatitis (ICD) and allergic contact dermatitis (ACD). Nowadays, with the increase of people’s requirements for the types and functions of cosmetics and the demand for cosmetics, the incidence of this disease has increased year by year. Among them, the face is the part that most often comes into contact with cosmetics, so it is also the part that is most prone to CCD. In addition, the pathogenesis of the disease is relatively complex. The initial diagnosis mainly depends on the patient’s self-reported medical history and existing clinical manifestations. However, due to people’s lack of cognition of CCD, the unclear description of the medical history in the consultation stage to the poor compliance in the treatment stage have interfere with the diagnosis and treat-ment work. Especially for the treatment of CCD, self-prevention is the most important, so the public-ity of the disease and related health education are particularly important. This article provides a basis for the development of cosmetic health education by analyzing the characteristics of CCD from the aspects of medical history tracking, inducing factors, clinical characteristics, diagnosis and treatment.
