Abstract: Nanjing Yunjin is a unique handmade weaving art known for its fast and exquisite craftsmanship as well as distinct cultural characteristics. It is currently the only art craft in China that has been passed down and has not been replaced by modern machine technology. The pattern of Nanjing Cloud Brocade combines the essence of ancient Chinese traditional patterns with rich meanings. The patterns are gorgeous and contain profound cultural connotations. The ancients placed their longing for beautiful things on the cloud brocade, reflecting their desire and pursuit for an auspicious and happy life. This symbolic significance has also become one of the focuses of at-tention for Chinese and foreign tourists. In order to better inherit and develop the Nanjing Yunjin pattern, this article will explore its composition characteristics, color matching, and graphic selection.
