The Cultural Collision behind the Gesture Language of “Greeting”

摘要: “问候”作为人类日常生活中使用最为频繁、极为灵活的交际方式之一，其在手势语中的应用得到了淋漓尽致的体现。为了能够更好地加深对手势语的了解，初步探析手势语在日常生活中如何发挥其丰富独特的交际功能，本文围绕“问候”为全文线索，追溯“问候”手势语在古代自现代的体现和运用，并分别从家庭、学校、社会这三种交际场合中探讨具有“问候”功能的多种手势语。在讨论“问候”手势语的价值、历史、文化等方面的同时，实现对“问候”手势语的追根溯源，并揭示其背后隐藏的文化、历史价值，以促进对手势语这项特定身体动作语言的理解和发展。

Abstract: “Greetings” have been fully demonstrated in the application of gesture language for being the most frequently used and flexible communication methods in human daily life. In order to deepen our understanding of gesture language and explore how it can play its rich and unique communicative functions in daily life, this thesis focuses on “greetings” as the main thread, tracing the embodiment and application of “greetings” gesture language in ancient and modern times, and exploring various gesture languages that can play the “greetings” function in three situations: family, school, and society. While discussing the value, history, culture, and other aspects of “greeting” gesture language, this thesis summarizes the close relationship between gesture language and historical changes, communication situations, and different cultures, in order to explore the root cause behind gesture language and reveal its hidden cultural and historical value.
