Basic information:
Qingmin Li is currently a full professor with School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, North China Electric Power University. He graduated from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, where he got his degrees of BSc (1991), MSc (1994) and PhD (1999) in electrical engineering. He worked at Tsinghua University as a lecturer in 1996, and came to the UK in early 2000 as a postdoctoral research fellow working at Liverpool University and later at Strathclyde University till early 2003. He joined the University of Strathclyde again in 2008 as the Sir David Anderson Bequest Fellowship for three-month visiting research, and from February to August 2010 he was a visiting professor at Arizona State University, USA. He is currently a Working member of CIGRE WG C4.208, and is a member of both IEEE and IET. He is also a member of the Editorial Board of the international journal “Advances in Power Electronics”. He has been a reviewer of many international journals including IEEE Transactions and IET Proceedings. His special fields of interest include high-voltage engineering and insulation technology, electromagnetic actuators, applied electromagnetics, high-voltage power electronics, renewable generation, power system EMC, condition monitoring and fault diagnostics of power equipments, etc.
