Abstract: Diabetic foot chronic wounds are one of the leading causes of amputation and even mortality in diabetic patients. Studies have shown that platelet-rich plasma (PRP) plays a significant regulatory role in the wound healing process. In recent years, PRP has been increasingly applied in the research of diabetic foot chronic wound repair, demonstrating promising therapeutic outcomes and certain advantages in clinical practice. It may emerge as a novel direction for treatment. This article reviews existing relevant studies to explore the therapeutic mechanisms of PRP in diabetic foot chronic wounds and its clinical application value.
