Introduction to Western Translation Theorists and Their Theories from the Perspective of Translation History

摘要: 本文站在翻译史的角度，按照时间的顺序，通过简要梳理西方翻译理论家及其理论，发现各理论家基于时代需求重构翻译本质，形成“忠实–功能–文化–权力”的范式演进，反映了翻译理论从技术规范到跨学科话语的转型，旨在深化对翻译以及翻译理论的认识，探讨翻译史研究的意义。
Abstract: From the perspective of the history of translation, this article briefly reviews Western translation theorists and their theories in chronological order. It has found that various theorists have reconstructed the essence of translation based on the needs of the times, forming a paradigm evolution of “faithfulness-function-culture-power”. This evolution reflects the transformation of translation theories from technical norms to interdisciplinary discourses. The purpose of this article is to deepen the understanding of translation and translation theories, and to explore the significance of the research on the history of translation.
