Strategies for English Discourse Teaching in Elementary Schools with a View to Improving Core Literacy

摘要: 小学英语作为一门特殊的跨文化学科，蕴含的丰富的价值观培养以及情感教育赋予其特有的人文社科学科属性。语篇教学作为其中的重要一环，其与核心素养理念相结合，将极大发挥小学英语学科培养学生文化意识及英语综合素质发展的重要作用。本文结合案例，探讨指向核心素养提升的小学英语语篇教学的有效路径。即设计分层阅读，发展语言能力；借助思维导图，促进思维发展；选择有效信息，升华文化品格；开展小组合作，提高学习能力。

Abstract: As a special cross-cultural subject, English in elementary school is rich in values and emotional education, which gives it unique attributes of humanities and social sciences. As an important part of it, the teaching of discourse, combined with the concept of core literacy, will greatly play an important role in cultivating students’ cultural awareness and comprehensive English development. This paper discusses the effective paths of teaching English in elementary school that point to the improvement of core literacy with case studies and the enhancement of core literacy: designing layered reading to develop language ability; promoting thinking development with the help of mind maps; selecting effective information to sublimate cultural character; carrying out group cooperation to improve learning ability.
