Abstract: This article comprehensively explores the historical evolution and contemporary value of traditional Chinese incense culture. It traces the origins of incense and its developmental trajectory across different historical periods, while highlighting the significant role of the four famous types of Chinese incense within this culture. The article further analyzes the multidimensional value of incense culture in aspects such as physical and mental health, social etiquette, and aesthetic appreciation. Additionally, the paper discusses the significance and feasibility of integrating incense culture into international Chinese language classrooms, positing that incense art, as a treasure of traditional Chinese culture, can bring rich educational value and cultural dissemination to international Chinese education. Through the teaching of incense art, international students can gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, promote cultural exchange and understanding between nations, and advance the inheritance and development of Chinese culture.
