Abstract: “Cong Xin Suo Yu Bu Yu Ju” is a classic statement proposed by Confucius in his later years in “The Analects of Confucius”, which contains profound philosophical and moral aspirations. Scholars of later generations have diverse views on this. Chuanshan Wang provided a four-dimensional interpretation of “Cong Xin Suo Yu Bu Yu Ju”. Firstly, he delves deeply into the level of sensory desires, revealing its natural state, the reasons for being obscured and the way to adapt, so as to explain the individual’s problems in sensory desire and inner balance. Secondly, Wang elaborated on the advanced ways of moral cultivation and the distinctive characteristics of each stage, and clearly outlines the development context of individuals in the process of moral growth, so as to respond to the question of the advancement of moral cultivation. Thirdly, by virtue of the yin-yang harmony concept and the change of hexagrams, he deeply analyzed the flexibility of moral principles and practice, and provided a dynamic perspective for moral practice. Fourthly, he analyzed the core connotation, the essence of behavior and the integration mechanism with Yi, so as to take care of the many problems faced by the pursuit of the sage realm in reality.
