Analysis of Research Hotspots in Evaluative Resources in Academic Discourse from 2014 to 2024 under the Perspective of Knowledge Graph
Abstract: This paper comprehensively utilizes the CiteSpace 6.3 knowledge mapping tool to conduct a systematic analysis of research literature on evaluative resources in academic discourse from the Web of Science Core Collection database between 2014 and 2024. The study reveals that both the volume of publications and citation frequency in this field have shown an upward trend, indicating increasing activity and academic influence in research on evaluative resources in academic discourse. Through co-citation analysis of authors and journals, this research identifies core contributors and high-impact journals in the fields of academic discourse analysis and evaluation theory. Keyword co-occurrence analysis uncovers eight major research clusters, with genre analysis emerging as a central theme. Finally, the study highlights current research gaps, including the need for deeper interdisciplinary exploration, the investigation of the evaluative significance of non-linguistic resources, and the integration of multimodal evaluative resources. These findings aim to promote further development in the theoretical and practical aspects of research on evaluative resources in academic discourse.
