Abstract: Objective: To explore the mediating effect of psychological resilience on the relationship between positive emotions and well-being in women in the third trimester of pregnancy. Methods: A total of 792 pregnant women from a tertiary hospital in Chongqing were selected by convenience sampling and investigated with the general information questionnaire, Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS), World Health Organization well-being Index (WHO-5) and Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale short form 10 (CD-RISC-10). Results: 1) Positive emotion was significantly positively correlated with psychological resilience (r = 0.38, p < 0.01) and well-being (r = 0.16, p < 0.01). Psychological resilience was positively correlated with well-being (r = 0.18, p < 0.01). 2) Psychological resilience played a partial mediating role between positive emotion and well-being, and the mediating effect accounted for 67.02% of the total effect. Conclusion: Positive emotions can directly affect the well-being of women in the third trimester, and can also indirectly affect the well-being through the partial mediating effect of psychological resilience.
