译者行为批评视角下《十二楼》民俗文化译者行为对比研究

A Comparative Study of the Translators’ Behaviors of the Folklore Culture of Twelve Towers from the Perspective of Translator Behavior Criticism

摘要: 本研究基于译者行为批评理论，在“求真–务实”连续统评价模式下探究韩南和茅国权翻译《十二楼》中民俗文化体现的译内行为和译外行为。从词汇、句法和修辞方面对两位译者的译内行为进行比较分析，并从社会背景、译者身份和翻译目的对两位译者的译外行为进行比较分析。将译者行为批评理论引入《十二楼》民俗文化英译的研究中，不仅可以为研究提供新的理论视角，而且可以在一定程度上深化理论的实际应用，为文学翻译研究提供参考，助力中国文化“走出去”。

Abstract: This study explores the intra-translation and extra-translation behaviors of translators Patrick Hanan and Nathan K. Mao in their English translations of Twelve Towers from the perspective of Translator Behavior Criticism within the “Truth-seeking-Utility-attaining” evaluative model of continuum. The intra-translation behaviors of the two translators are comparatively analyzed from the aspects of lexical, syntactical and rhetorical translation, while their extra-translation behaviors are examined in relation to social background, translator identity, and translation purpose. Introducing the Translator Behavior Criticism theory into the study of the English translation of folklore culture in Twelve Towers not only provides a new theoretical perspective but also enhances the practical application of the theory to some extent, offering a reference for literary translation studies and contributing to the global dissemination of Chinese culture.
