Abstract: Currently, the prevalence of various chronic diseases is increasing rapidly, posing a significant threat to the health of our residents. As society develops and medical standards improve, the cost of disease treatment has risen substantially, creating urgent challenges related to economic toxicity. In recent years, the financial navigation model has emerged as a prominent solution in numerous studies aimed at addressing financial toxicity, demonstrating positive outcomes, particularly among patients with chronic diseases such as cancer. Although financial navigation is gradually gaining international attention, no systematic financial navigation plan has yet been established in China. This article will review the application progress of financial navigation in the intervention of economic toxicity of chronic diseases, aiming to provide new ideas for domestic patients at high risk of economic toxicity from chronic diseases.
