Research on the Impact of Blockchain Technology on Cross-Border Payments—Taking Ripple for Example

摘要: 本文通过对在跨境支付领域有着先进经验的基于区块链的Ripple进行研究，分析其运行模式和瑞波币现状，优势为成本低、效率高、交易安全和系统稳定，但区块链技术应用于跨境支付中仍存在一些问题，如对监管带来挑战；无法预测的金融风险；重复计算，浪费资源；潜在安全问题等。针对现存问题，提出建议和对策：补充相关法律制度，完善监管体系；促进区块链支付模式科研进展；防范区块链技术的应用风险。为未来区块链技术在跨境支付领域的探索提供一些参考。

Abstract: In this paper, through the research on blockchain-based Ripple, which has advanced experience in the field of cross-border payment, we analyse its operation mode and the current situation of Ripple, with the advantages of low cost, high efficiency, transaction security and system stability, but there are still some problems in the application of blockchain technology in cross-border payment, such as the challenges to regulation; unpredictable financial risks; duplicate calculations and waste of resources; and potential security problems. To address the existing problems, suggestions and countermeasures are put forward: supplementing the relevant legal system and improving the regulatory system; promoting the progress of scientific research on blockchain payment models; and guarding against the risks of the application of blockchain technology. Provide some references for the future exploration of blockchain technology in the field of cross-border payment.
