概念隐喻在中学英语写作教学中的应用
The Application of Conceptual Metaphor in Middle School English Writing Teaching
摘要: 作为英语的学习者,听、说、读、写、译是我们英语学习中不可或缺的部分,在这其中,写作是运用语言的重要体现,写作极大程度上反应英语学习者掌握语言“说”与“读”的情况。概念隐喻是用一事物来暗示另一事物,反应了人们思维和认知的基本方式。隐喻通过将一个领域的概念映射到另一个领域的概念上,帮助人们理解和构建现实世界。概念隐喻的运用能够使学生在写作中使用更加丰富的词汇、更多样性的句式和更连贯的语篇,从而提升学生的整体写作水平。英语教师在写作教学中,恰当地运用概念隐喻能够极大地提升学生的写作能力,从而进一步提升写作的质量。
Abstract: As learners of English, listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation are indispensable parts of our English learning. Among them, writing is an important manifestation of language application, and to a large extent, it reflects the situation of English learners’ mastery of the “speaking” and “reading” of the language. Conceptual metaphor is the use of one thing to imply another, reflecting the fundamental ways of people’s thinking and cognition. Metaphor helps people understand and construct the real world by mapping concepts from one field to those from another. The application of conceptual metaphor enables students to use a richer vocabulary, more diverse sentence patterns and more coherent discourse in their writing, thereby enhancing their overall writing proficiency. In writing teaching, English teachers can greatly enhance students’ writing ability by appropriately applying conceptual metaphors, thereby further improving the quality of their writing.
