概念整合理论下的《水浒传》人物绰号解读

Interpretation of Character Nicknames in Water Margin from the Perspective of Conceptual Integration Theory

摘要: 《水浒传》人物绰号丰富多样、各具特点，不仅体现角色的个性特征，还体现其本领和气概。本文基于概念整合理论，以108将绰号为语料，系统地分析绰号命名的特点和分类阐释人物绰号的认知加工过程。研究发现，绰号命名反映人物外貌、性格特征、出场兵器，亦或带有飞禽走兽、风火雷电的字眼。运用概念整合理论分类阐释人物绰号的认知机制，为认知、理解人物绰号提供了新的视角，也可以为文学研究者和翻译工作者提供一定的参考价值。

Abstract: The character nicknames in Water Margin are diverse and distinctive, each reflecting the personality traits of the characters, as well as their skills and courage. Based on the conceptual integration theory, this paper took the nicknames of 108 heroes as the corpus, and systematically analysed the characteristics of nickname naming and classified the cognitive processing process of interpreting characters’ nicknames. The study found that nicknames reflect the character’s appearance, personality traits, weapons held, or nicknames that include words related to birds, beasts, wind, fire, lightning and thunder. The cognitive mechanism of character nicknames has been explained by the conceptual integration theory, which provides a new perspective for cognition and understanding of character nicknames, and can also provide certain reference value for literary researchers and translators.
