Study of the Development Level of the Digital Economy in China’s Coastal Regions

摘要: 为提升沿海地区数字经济发展提供了数据支撑和政策参考，通过构建包含数字基础设施、数字产业化及产业数字化的三维评价指标体系，运用熵值法测算2010~2022年中国沿海地区数字经济发展水平。研究发现：(1) 三大海洋经济圈数字经济发展水平呈现明显的波动上升趋势，且存在显著的地域差异，具体表现为“东部海洋经济圈 > 南部海洋经济圈 > 北部海洋经济圈”的梯度特征；(2) 东部海洋经济圈数字经济发展水平最高且稳定，南部海洋经济圈增速显著但波动较大，北部海洋经济圈则发展相对缓慢。

Abstract: To provide data support and policy references for enhancing the digital economy in coastal regions, by constructing a three-dimensional evaluation framework encompassing digital infrastructure, digital industrialization, and industrial digitalization, it employs the entropy method to assess the development level of China’s coastal digital economy from 2010 to 2022. The study reveals: (1) The digital economic development levels across the three major marine economic zones exhibit a pronounced fluctuating upward trend, with significant regional disparities manifesting as a gradient pattern: Eastern Marine Economic Zone > Southern Marine Economic Zone > Northern Marine Economic Zone; (2) The Eastern Marine Economic Zone demonstrates the highest and most stable digital economic development level, while the Southern Marine Economic Zone shows significant growth rates but considerable volatility. The Northern Marine Economic Zone, however, exhibits relatively slower development.
