基于文化意识下初中英语教材文化内容分析研究——以人教版八年级下为例
A Study on Cultural Contents in English Textbooks in Junior High School from the Perspective of Cultural Awareness—A Case of PEP Edition of Volume Four
摘要: 《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》(以下简称《新课标》)体现工具性和人文性的统一,具有基础性、实践性和综合性特征。《新课标》指出,学习和运用英语有助于学生了解不同文化,比较文化异同,汲取文化精华,逐步形成跨文化沟通的意识和能力,学会客观、理性看待世界,梳理国际视野,涵养家国情怀,坚定文化自信,形成正确的世界观、人生观和价值观,为学生终身学习、适应未来社会发展奠定基础。而英语教材是学生获取英语知识及文化的重要工具,也是传播中外文化的主要媒介之一。因此本研究选取人教版八年级下教材,利用文化意识,详细分析教材中的文化内容,旨在进一步对教材的编写提供建议,也为英语教师更好运用教材进行教学提供相关建议,实现不同文化间的和谐共生。
Abstract: Compulsory Education English Curriculum (2022) (hereinafter referred to as the Curriculum Standard (2022)) is an integration of instrumentality and humanity, and is characterized by being foundational, practical, and comprehensive. It points that learning and using English provides an opportunity for students to earn about different cultures, conduct cross-cultural comparison, and capture the best of world cultures. It enables them to develop an awareness and ability to engage in cross-cultural communication and exchange, learn to perceive the world objectively and sensibly, and shape their international perspectives. It helps develop a sense of family and national identity, enhance cultural confidence, form correct world views, life views and values, thus laying a foundation for students’ life-long learning and future success. English textbook is a significant tool for students to acquire English knowledge and culture, and it is also a main media to spread Chinese and foreign culture. Therefore, the study picks Edition of Volume Four to detailedly analyze cultural contents. It aims to provide appropriate suggestions for textbooks and offer relevant advice for English teachers on how to better utilize the materials in their teaching, which can smoothly realize the harmony among different cultures.
