Abstract: Periodontitis is a common chronic inflammatory infection, which not only affects oral health, but also is related to many systemic diseases. In recent years, more and more epidemiological and mechanism studies have found that there is a strong correlation between periodontitis and pancreatic cancer, which provides a new idea for early warning, diagnosis and intervention of pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant tumor, which is difficult to find and treat in the early stage, so the five-year survival rate of patients is very low. This review systematically summarizes the latest research progress on the mechanism relationship between periodontitis and Pancreative Cancer in recent ten years, paying special attention to the role of periodontitis in the occurrence and development of Pancreative Cancer and the potential application of periodontal medicine in clinical treatment. The purpose is to provide a new perspective for early diagnosis, prognosis evaluation and treatment strategy of pancreatic cancer, and to see if periodontitis can help.
