Abstract: As a game deeply rooted in Chinese culture, “Black Myth: Wukong” holds significant importance for cultural dissemination through its translation of proper nouns. This paper, from a cultural perspective, delves into the translation strategies and methods of the game’s proper nouns, explores the application of transliteration, paraphrase, and literal translation in the translation of different types of proper nouns through examples, and analyzes their impact on cultural transmission. The aim is to provide translation references for the international dissemination of Chinese culture-loaded games and promote cross-cultural communication.
