A Comparative Study of Perry Anderson and Marx on the Origin of Capitalism

摘要: 马克思在其经典著作中揭示了由资本统治的现代社会总体性历史过程的起源性与有限性。在20世纪，英国马克思主义者佩里·安德森则以绝对主义为理论锚点，开辟了以国家统治阶级之间的力量斗争为原动力的资本主义起源政治研究视域。通过对比二者在资本主义起源的图式、动力、历史外延方面存在的差异可知，安德森经济学视野的缺失使其再度陷入了资本主义自然化的理论困境。

Abstract: In his classic works, Marx revealed the origins and limitations of the total historical process of modern society dominated by capital. In the 20th century, British Marxist Perry Anderson, using absolutism as his theoretical anchor, pioneered a political perspective on the origins of capitalism, driven by the power struggle between the ruling classes of the state. A comparison of the differences between the two in terms of the schema, driving forces, and historical scope of the origins of capitalism reveals that Anderson’s lack of an economic perspective led him back into the theoretical dilemma of the naturalization of capitalism.
