关联理论视角下的电影字幕翻译技巧探析——以《心灵奇旅》为例

An Analysis of Film Subtitle Translation Techniques from the Perspective of Relevance Theory—A Case Study of Soul

摘要: 在国际市场中，电影是促进多元文化交流的重要载体之一，它能够传递情感、引发共鸣并启迪思考。在电影中，字幕翻译作为消除语言壁垒的媒介，其翻译质量是影响观众能否精准捕捉作品思想及文化内涵的关键因素。本文以斯珀伯与威尔逊提出的关联理论作为理论框架，探究皮克斯经典动画电影《心灵奇旅》字幕翻译中使用到的翻译方法或技巧，分析译文是如何实现最佳关联，为观众提供良好的观影体验，希望能为电影的字幕翻译研究提供借鉴思路。

Abstract: In the international market, film serves as one of the pivotal carriers for promoting cultural exchange across diverse societies. It conveys emotions, evokes cross-cultural resonance, and inspires profound reflections on shared human experiences. As a medium to eliminate linguistic barriers in film communication, subtitle translation quality stands as a decisive factor influencing whether audiences can accurately grasp the ideological essence and cultural connotations embedded in the work. Guided by the Relevance Theory proposed by Sperber and Wilson, this article explores the specific translation methods and techniques employed in the subtitle translation of Pixar’s classic animated film “Soul”. It analyzes how the translated subtitles achieve optimal relevance to deliver a seamless viewing experience for the target audience. This research aims to provide valuable insights and practical references for the academic exploration and practical practice of film subtitle translation.
