基于功能对等理论的英文美妆产品说明书汉译研究
A Study on the Chinese Translation of English Beauty Product Instructions Based on the Theory of Functional Equivalence
摘要: 随着美妆行业全球化进程的加快与跨境电商业态的蓬勃发展,进口美妆产品已成为国内消费市场的重要组成部分,市场占比呈持续攀升之势。作为产品信息传递的核心载体,英文美妆产品说明书的汉译质量不仅直接关联消费者的产品认知与购买选择,更与使用安全密切相关,其翻译的精准性与实用性兼具重要的实践价值。本文以奈达的功能对等理论为理论框架,从词汇、句法、语篇、文化四大对等维度展开分析,挖掘该理论对英文美妆产品说明书汉译的具体指导价值,同时结合美妆产品说明书的文体特征与信息传播需求,探究适配的汉译技巧与实践策略,以期提升译文的准确性、可读性与适用性,为美妆领域的翻译实践提供理论参考与实操借鉴,助力进口美妆产品信息在跨语言场景下的精准、有效传递。
Abstract: With the acceleration of the globalization process in the beauty industry and the vigorous development of cross-border e-commerce, imported beauty products have become an important part of the domestic consumer market, and their market share has been continuously rising. As the core carrier of product information transmission, the quality of the Chinese translation of English beauty product instructions is not only directly related to consumers’ product cognition and purchase choices, but also closely related to the safety of use. The translation’s accuracy and practicality both have significant practical value. This paper takes Nida’s functional equivalence theory as the theoretical framework, and analyzes from the four dimensions of vocabulary, syntax, discourse, and culture to explore the specific guiding value of this theory for the Chinese translation of English beauty product instructions. At the same time, it combines the stylistic features and information dissemination needs of beauty product instructions to explore appropriate Chinese translation techniques and practical strategies, with the aim of improving the accuracy, readability, and applicability of the translation, providing theoretical references and practical examples for translation practices in the beauty field, and facilitating the precise and effective transmission of information about imported beauty products in cross-language scenarios.
