“疑查定表”视域下中医正骨核心手法术语英译的再审视——以《医宗金鉴》“摸、接、端、提”四法为例

Re-Examination of English Translation of Core Manipulation Terms in Chinese Osteopathy from the Perspective of the “Yi-Cha-Ding-Biao” Method—Taking “Mo, Jie, Duan, Ti” in Yizong Jinjian as Examples

摘要: 中医正骨手法术语的英译，要求准确传达手法的技术内涵。《医宗金鉴》第八十七卷所载“摸、接、端、提”四法，其英译存在可探讨之处。林超伦博士提出的“疑、查、定、表”翻译法，为术语翻译提供了可操作的分析路径。本文在“疑、查、定、表”视域下对四法现有译名进行再审视，目的在于探讨该译法在中医正骨术语英译中的应用，以提升术语英译的准确性。

Abstract: English translation of terms of osteopathic manipulation requires accurate conveyance of their technical connotations. The English translations of the four techniques—“Mo, Jie, Duan, Ti”—recorded in Volume 87 of the Yizong Jinjian (The Golden Mirror of Medicine) present aspects worthy of discussion. The “Yi-Cha-Ding-Biao” (Questioning, Checking, Determining, Expressing) translation method proposed by Dr. Lin Chaolun offers an operational analytical pathway for terminology translation. This paper re-examines the existing translations of these four techniques from the perspective of the “Yi-Cha-Ding-Biao” method. The purpose is to explore the application of this method in the English translation of Chinese osteopathic terminology, aiming to enhance the accuracy of terminology translation.
