Experience of Sichuan Famous Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor Dou Shulin in External Fixation with Small Splints for Orthopedics in Traditional Chinese Medicine Trauma

摘要: 四川省非物质文化遗产谢氏正骨疗法传承百年，流派具有夯实的理论基础及丰富的临床经验。四川省名中医窦树林主任中医师是谢氏正骨疗法第四代传人，从事中医骨伤临床工作近40年，在中医骨伤专业具有很深的造诣。中医伤科正骨中的夹板外固定技术，是中医骨伤科的重要治疗手段之一，在我国传统医学中有着悠久的历史，早在晋代葛洪的《肘后救卒方》中就有“竹片裹之，令遍病上，急缚勿令转动”的记载。这项技术经过历代医家的不断发展和完善，逐渐形成了具有中医特色的治疗方法。本文从中医伤科正骨方面出发，对省名中医窦树林的夹板外固定经验进行部分阐述。

Abstract: The Xie Family Orthopedic Therapy, an intangible cultural heritage of Sichuan Province, has been passed down for a century. This school has a solid theoretical foundation and rich clinical experience. Dou Shulin, a chief TCM physician and renowned doctor in Sichuan Province, is the fourth-generation successor of the Xie Family Orthopedic Therapy. He has been engaged in clinical work in TCM orthopedics and traumatology for nearly 40 years and has profound expertise in this field. The splint external fixation technique in TCM orthopedics is one of the important treatment methods in TCM orthopedic and traumatology. It has a long history in traditional Chinese medicine. As early as the Jin Dynasty, Ge Hong’s “Handbook of Prescriptions for Emergencies” recorded: ‘Wrap with bamboo strips to cover the affected part completely, and bind tightly without allowing movement.’ This technique has been continuously developed and improved by physicians over generations and has gradually formed a treatment method with distinct TCM characteristics. This article, starting from TCM orthopedic therapy, partially elaborates on Chief TCM Physician Dou Shulin’s experience with splint external fixation.
