接受美学视角下《甄嬛传》中古诗词的字幕英译研究
English Subtitle Translation of Classical Chinese Poetry in Empresses in the Palace from the Perspective of Reception Aesthetics
摘要: 在全球化语境下,中国影视作品的跨文化传播高度依赖字幕翻译的质量与接受效果。作为中国古装剧“走出去”的典型案例,英文版《甄嬛传》在海外上线后引发广泛讨论,剧中大量古典诗词的翻译成为跨文化传播的核心难点。本文以接受美学为理论框架,以英文版《甄嬛传》英文字幕为研究对象,从语言形式与文化意象两个维度系统分析古诗词的翻译策略。旨在为中国古装剧的诗词字幕翻译及文化输出提供一定参考。
Abstract: In the context of globalization, the cross-cultural communication of Chinese film and television works is highly dependent on the quality and reception of subtitle translation. As a representative example of Chinese historical dramas “going global,” the English version of Empresses in the Palace sparked widespread discussion after its overseas release. Since the translation of numerous classical Chinese poems emerging as a key challenge in cross-cultural communication, this study, grounded in reception aesthetics, examines the subtitles of the English version of Empresses in the Palace and systematically analyzes the translation strategies for classical Chinese poetry from two dimensions: linguistic form and cultural imagery. The findings aim to provide insights for the subtitle translation of classical Chinese poetry in historical dramas and contribute to cultural export.
