数字化叙事工作坊对英语专业本科生对外叙事能力影响的实验研究
An Experimental Study on the Impact of Digital Storytelling Workshops on the External Narrative Competence of English Majors
摘要: 为回应新时代对高素质国际传播人才的现实需求,应对英语专业学生在跨文化叙事中存在的文化意象错位、数字技能薄弱等现实挑战,本研究设计并实施了一项数字化叙事工作坊教学实验。研究以某高校英语专业两个平行班级为对象,随机分为实验班与对照班,分别接受为期一学期的数字化工作坊教学与传统叙事教学。通过前测、后测的量化对比,并结合学生反思日志与深度访谈的质性分析,系统探究了该教学模式的实际成效。研究发现,实验班学生的后测成绩在文化差异认知、叙事建构与评价等关键维度上显著优于对照班。进一步分析表明,工作坊创设的“文化沉浸体验、数字化协作共创、多轮反馈迭代”教学闭环,有效提升了学生的跨文化叙事意识、策略性思维与数字化实践能力。本研究为外语教育在数字化时代创新叙事教学路径、培养复合型国际传播人才提供了可操作的方案与实证依据。
Abstract: Addressing the practical demand for high-quality international communication talents in the new era and the practical challenges English majors face in cross-cultural narrative—such as inaccurate cultural translation and underdeveloped digital skills—this study designed and implemented a teaching experiment involving a digital storytelling workshop. Two parallel classes of English majors from a university were randomly assigned as an experimental group and a control group, receiving a semester-long instruction based on the digital workshop model and the traditional narrative teaching approach, respectively. Utilizing a pre-test-post-test quantitative comparison, supplemented by qualitative analysis of student reflection journals and in-depth interviews, this research systematically examined the model’s effectiveness. Findings indicate that the post-test performance of the experimental group significantly surpassed that of the control group in key dimensions, including cultural difference awareness, narrative construction, and evaluative ability. Further analysis reveals that the teaching cycle of “immersive cultural experience, digital collaborative creation, and iterative feedback” embedded in the workshop effectively enhanced students’ cross-cultural narrative awareness, strategic thinking, and digital practice capabilities. This study offers an actionable framework and empirical evidence for innovating narrative pedagogy and cultivating interdisciplinary international communication talents in foreign language education within the digital era.
