Abstract: Dyslipidemia and hypertension are two major risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, which frequently coexist. In recent years, numerous clinical cross-sectional studies, prospective cohort studies, and basic experiments have confirmed that dyslipidemia and hypertension are not isolated metabolic disorders. Instead, they interact and progress synergistically through complex pathophysiological mechanisms, significantly increasing the risk of cardiovascular diseases. This article systematically reviews the epidemiological evidence, pathophysiological mechanisms, limitations of current research, and future perspectives regarding the association between dyslipidemia and hypertension, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical references for the early screening, risk stratification, and precise prevention and control of hypertension.
