基于语料库的《一桶白葡萄酒》汉译本翻译风格比较研究——以陈良廷和曹明伦两译本为例

A Corpus-Based Comparative Study of Translation Styles in the Two Chinese Versions of The Cask of Amontillado—Taking the Translations by Chen Liangting and Cao Minglun as Examples

摘要: 本研究采用语料库翻译学的研究方法，以埃德加·爱伦·坡短篇小说《一桶白葡萄酒》的英文原文及其两个代表性汉译本为对象，自建英汉平行语料库，对两位译者的翻译风格进行系统性比较与分析。研究从词汇、句法、语篇三个层面展开量化统计与质性探讨，旨在客观揭示两译本在语言特征上的异同，并探究其风格差异背后的成因。结果显示：曹译本用词丰富正式、句法复杂、注重形合；陈译本用词简洁明了、句式短小、偏向意合。研究发现，这些差异与两位译者所处的时代背景、身份角色及翻译理念密切相关。

Abstract: This study employs the methodology of corpus-based translation studies to conduct a systematic comparison and analysis of the translation styles of two Chinese translators, using the original English text of Edgar Allan Poe’s short story The Cask of Amontillado and its two representative Chinese translations as the research objects. A self-built English-Chinese parallel corpus was utilized. Through quantitative statistics and qualitative investigation at the lexical, syntactic, and textual levels, the research aims to objectively reveal the similarities and differences in the linguistic features of the two translated versions and explore the underlying causes of their stylistic differences. The results show that Cao Minglun’s translation features richer and more formal vocabulary, more complex syntax, and a greater emphasis on hypotaxis, whereas Chen Liangting’s translation is characterized by concise and clear wording, shorter sentence structures, and a preference for parataxis. The study finds that these differences are closely related to the historical context, professional identities, and translation philosophies of the two translators.
