摘要: 木心出生于1927年,是中国当代艺术家中极为神秘的一位。得益于陈丹青的倾力推荐,他逐渐被更多的人熟知;然而与上世纪的中国画大家相比,其名字总是被埋没,公众只能通过为数不多的文字介绍来了解他。正是这种神秘,激发了学者们对其艺术作品的探索欲。木心的文学与绘画有着紧密的联系,其风景画之主题,宛如文学之精神,画风则是在不同文化土壤中逐渐生发、嬗变,形成独立品格。他的绘画作品既保留着中国传统山水画所追求的精神境界,同时又运用了西方现代抽象性的创作手法,成为东方与西方、传统与当代的典型范例。在艺术生涯的晚期,木心完成了一批高质量的微型画作,这些作品以水墨为媒介,散发着浓浓的禅意,以人生经历为观照,足以称得上精妙之作。
Abstract: Mu Xin, born in 1927, stands as one of the most enigmatic figures among contemporary Chinese artists. Largely brought to wider public attention through the earnest advocacy of Chen Danqing, his name nevertheless remains somewhat obscured when compared with other masters of 20th-century Chinese painting. The public often comes to know him through his limited written works, and this very mystique further fuels scholarly curiosity about his artistic oeuvre. A profound connection exists between Mu Xin’s literature and his painting; the themes within his landscapes echo the spirit of his literary works. His paintings germinated and evolved across diverse cultural soils, ultimately forming an independent character. They retain the spiritual realm sought by traditional Chinese landscape painting while simultaneously employing techniques of Western modern abstraction, truly exemplifying a synthesis of East and West, tradition and contemporaneity. In the late stage of his artistic career, Mu Xin produced a collection of high-quality miniature paintings. Using ink wash as a medium, these works exude a rich Zen essence. Viewed through the lens of Mu Xin’s life experiences, they can justifiably be considered transcendent works.
