Empirical Study: The Mediating Role of Social Support and the Moderating Role of Personality Traits—AI Use and University Students’ Mental Health
摘要: 本研究致力于从社会支持的中介效应和人格特征的调节作用,对大学生使用人工智能与心理健康内在联系进行深度解剖,并对社会支持进行细致探索。通过方便抽样对386个高校学生进行调查问卷,利用各种专业量表进行测量,并运用统计的先进方法加以分析,得出如下结论:人工智能的使用与心理健康相关联,社会支持起着一定的中介作用,外倾性人格有显著调节作用,因此,在大学生心理健康方面,人工智能的使用具有明显的负相关。该课题的研究提供了大学生合理运用AI的关键理论和实践指导,维护了大学生的心理健康。
Abstract: This study aims to explore the intrinsic link between university students’ artificial intelligence (AI) use and their mental health, focusing on the mediating effect of social support and the moderating role of personality traits, with a detailed exploration of social support. Using convenience sampling, 386 university students were surveyed with various specialized scales. Advanced statistical methods were employed for analysis. The findings are as follows: AI use shows a significant negative correlation with mental health; social support plays a partial mediating role; extraversion exhibits a significant moderating effect. Therefore, AI use demonstrates a distinct negative correlation with university students’ mental health. This research provides key theoretical and practical guidance for the rational use of AI by university students to safeguard their mental health.
